It takes just 45 minutes from Luis Munoz Marin airport in San
Juan to Palmas del Mar in normal traffic hours. There are no traffic
lights and at least four lanes all the way, with two (2) small tolls
($1.50 return only and $.50) to pay.

All apartments are fully furnished and equipped with central air
conditioning*, TV (including Cable), VCR, phone, washer & dryer.
Our kitchens are complete with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher (most
units), conventional oven, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker,
blender, pots, pans & utensils, dinnerware. We also provide
Bed linen – at least two changes per bed – and towels.
* some units may have air conditioning only in bedrooms
There are five (5) large supermarkets in the nearby town of Humacao,
including a Sams Club and Pueblo Supermarkets. Some can be reached
within 5 minutes driving time and via the expressway.
Palmas del Mar is approximately one hour away from Old San Juan,
mostly via the expressway.
The famous “El Yunque” rainforest located in Rio Grande,
can be reached through Fajardo via the expressway in approximately
25 to 30 minutes. Don’t miss this awesome natural reserve!
The Palmas golf and tennis facilities are open to the public for
a fee. Other facilities such as the Fitness Center are reserved
only for people staying at Palmas del Mar including residents, hotel
guests and tenants like you.
Most Golf Courses are 25 minutes away from Palmas, like El Conquistador & Rio Grande Golf Courses.
Most condominiums have pet restrictions for renters but there
are certain cases where pets are allowed. When making a reservation,
please ask us directly if you can bring your pets along to a specific
villa.
You bet it is! The Palmas del Mar Security has guards located
at the main entrance and in each and every complex. There are also
guards doing preventive patrolling at all times - 24 hours a day.
The state police also patrol the Resort. Palmas del Mar, besides
being a tourist resort is a well established residential community
with long-term, law-abiding residents who have assembled a close-knit
team comprised of the Homeowners Association and security controls
making it one of the safest and best planned places in Puerto Rico.
It sure is! The water in Palmas is safe to drink - Palmas del
Mar Utility buys the water from the state Water Company, reprocesses
it and recycles it. Some people may still prefer to buy bottled
water.
There are three hospitals in the neighboring Humacao town. Right next to the Palmas resort is the local fire department
and ambulance emergency station. There are doctors 10 minutes away
and a doctor will make house calls to your villa, should the need
arise. |
